A team has been formed to study the economic impact of the Muscat Metro to stay clear of any kind of steps that might cause problems in the long term, the Preacher of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology claimed.
His Excellency Designer Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and also Information Technology, validated throughout a meeting with Oman TV that there have been studies conducted on the financial impact of the Muscat Metro via a team established in this aspect to prevent any kind of actions that may cause issues in the long-term.
His Excellency additionally stressed the relevance of the electronic economic situation as well as raising the value of its contribution to the GDP, especially considering that the ministry has the plan to raise and double its payment to reach 10 percent in 2040.
His Excellency included that the Ministry aims to digitize 80 percent of basic government solutions in 2025, and during the previous year, a unified index of all federal government solutions, amounting to 3,000, was produced.
His Excellency mentioned: “We are working on releasing the national site for digital solutions by the end of this year to supply a one-stop-shop for services, and new services will be added to it continuously.”
